  1. Inasmuch as the good pastor knows not the Jewish concept of sin, let me quickly repudiate his assertion it coincides with the Christian concept of sin. It does not. A Jew can live his whole life sin-free. He is not born a sinner. Furthermore, a sin in Judaism is very specific, unlike the Christian concept ("outside the circle"); In Judaism there are 613 specific commandments for Jews to follow (and 7 for Gentiles), 248 do's, and 365 don't do's. Then, every transgression of these specific laws defines the sin.
